Japanese tapas and sake galore is what Bōruto, just a stone’s throw away from the CBD, delivers. Styled as a modern day izakaya, the double-storey, industrial chic establishment is helmed by Chef Patrick Tan, owner of Japanese robatayaki restaurant Tamashii Robataya.
The first floor of Bōruto offers foodies a casual dining experience by dispensing out a plethora of shareable eats from the menu like the Sashimi Moriawase, an array of assorted raw fish with drops of soya sauce, and Teba Gyoza, incredible boneless grilled chicken wings stuffed with gyoza ingredients.
Translating into “vault” in Japanese, the bar’s name is a nod to the bank it once housed and the original bank vault, still intact, sits on the second floor showcasing the most premium bottles of sake available. Here, sake connoisseurs can enjoy the novelty of walking into the vault, selecting from a range of up to 30 of the most high-end bottles of sake available, and enjoy a more exclusive experience!
